First Coast Hunter Jumper Association

The First Coast Hunter Jumper Association ( FCHJA) of St. Augustine, Florida was incorporated as a non-profit organization in 1994. The purpose of FCHJA is to serve the community at large with amateur equestrian sports competition and education with the inclusion of events that successfully contribute and support local charities. Today our membership includes over one hundred and fifty horse enthusiasts and riders. Our objectives include:

  • Inspire, sponsor, & encourage interest in equestrian amateur competition
  • Promote good sportsmanship and encourage fair competition
  • Educate horsemen, horsewomen, and the general public about equestrian sports
  • Expand and enhance the image of equestrian competition
  • Conduct educational clinics to increase the knowledge and competence of riders
  • Conduct benefit horse shows in support of local charities and other worthy causes
